The FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship was held on Mar 13, 14 at Beloit College. Here are the results for our teams :
- 13201 Team Hazmat won the Inspire Award and with 65 advancements points will proceed to compete at the FIRST World Championship in Houston from April 29-May 2
- 21180 Error 418 was the Runner up Alliance partner and winner of Control Award, and with 61 advancement points will compete at a premier event of their choice
- 16460 GEarheads won the Reach Award, and was the 4th alliance captain in playoffs; and with 47 advancement points will compete at a premier event of their choice
- 19417 Superstellar was 18th in the qualification rankings among the 32 teams in the state championship
Avani Murthy from PPMS is part of 13201 Team Hazmat, and part of the mechanical team. She has also been instrumental in leading Women in Technology initiatives and hosted a round table discussing Women engagement in STEM with 19 senior women technology leaders from 14 corporations and our state representative. She is part of the world's bound team on April 29th.
